It is a unique, weekly oldies radio program
that caters to its base of dedicated fans and regular
listeners. It is different every week with the ability
to draw from a playlist of over 17,000 titles! Its
host, Mark Edwards, brings life, personality and
interaction to the show. Its fans are loyal
followers with many listening from the opening intro
to the close.
The mission statement could be summed up as: "At
least once each broadcast, you'll roll your eyes
back, place your hand on your forehead and say,
'Wow! I have not heard this song in years!'"
It began with uncertainty in 1994 but eventually
turned into a ratings success story. Mark Edwards
brought his creativity, charm and music collection to
the airwaves of Connecticut to bring listeners on a
trip back in time. So successful that it achieved
the highest ratings of any show on the station’s
lineup during its last Arbitron entry. His
unmistakable ability to give the audience what they
wanted paved the way for success for over 28 years!
The key to that success was, and still is, the
diverse playlist. Thousands of songs from not only
the "Hit Makers" of the time, but lesser known, but
equally important groups. Groups like The Academics,
